What is Utkraanti

A national championship — not an ordinary workshop.

Utkraanti is a national technical entrepreneurship championship built for school students in Grades 8–12. Students learn a real technology — AI, Robotics, or IoT — build a working project with their own hands, and then compete on a national stage.

The journey ends at a grand finale where students present their own innovation like a startup founder, in front of judges, at BECon — the flagship entrepreneurship summit by eDC, IIT Delhi.

Learn a technology. Build a real project. Pitch your idea. Win a national title.
Why it's different

Not another workshop.

01

Not theory — hands-on building

Every student builds a real, working project.

02

Not an exam — a startup pitch

Students present their own solution to a real problem.

03

Not local — national

The journey leads to a finale at IIT Delhi's BECon.

04

Not one-size — three tracks

Schools choose AI Robotics, AI + IoT, or AI Agents.

05

Takeaway kit

In hardware tracks, students keep the kit they build with.

The three tracks

Every school chooses its track.

In the 2-day workshop, all students build the same guided project for their track.

Track 1
🤖

AI Robotics

Project A
ChatGPT Controller Robot

A robot that listens to a spoken command, understands it using AI, and moves or replies.

Project B
Face & Gesture Robot

A robot that reads a person's face and hand gestures through a camera and reacts to them.

🎁 Students keep the robotics kit (shared in groups of 4).
Track 2
🌐

AI + IoT

Project A
Smart Soil Advisor

A device that checks soil condition and gives AI-powered farming advice.

Project B
AI Flood Alarm

A device that detects rising water levels and gives an AI early warning before a flood.

🎁 Students keep the sensor kit (shared in groups of 4).
Track 3
✨

AI Agent & Automation

Project A
Homework Checker Agent

An AI agent that checks a photo of homework and replies with a score and feedback.

Project B
Study Buddy Agent

An AI agent that makes notes and a quiz on any topic, then auto-checks the answers.

💻 Laptop-based track — no hardware kit needed.

The Grand Finale

Innovation Pitching at IIT Delhi.

The journey ends at BECon, the flagship entrepreneurship summit by eDC, IIT Delhi — one of India's largest platforms for founders and innovators.

Here, the top school teams from across the country present their own project on a national stage. They pitch like startup founders: the problem they chose, the solution they built, the technology behind it, and the impact it can create.

For a school student, standing on this stage is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — and a story their school can be proud of for years.
